Tehran:

Iran kept alive their hopes of qualification for the Athens Olympics with a 6-0 drubbing of Malaysia at the Azadi Stadium on Friday. Four goals in 13 second half minutes consigned Malaysia to their worst result of the Asian qualifying competition so far - and they stay firmly rooted to the bottom of the Group A table. Iran will now have to hope that China beat Asian Group A leaders South Korea on Saturday to give them any chance of making it to Athens. (AP)
