Argentina beat Tunisia more comfortably than the 2-1 score line suggested in the opening match of the Confederations Cup in Cologne. Juan Riquelme's 33rd minute penalty and a 57th minute strike from Javier Saviola gave Argentina control of the Group A tie against the African champions who missed one penalty and scored another. Both came after the German keeper brought down Haykel Guemamdia, first in the 17th minute and then in the 72nd minute when the striker converted. Imed Mhadhebi had missed the first spot kick.
