Soccer star David Beckham has come up with a list of destinations tourists should visit during the upcoming London Olympics and a tour of Buckingham Palace is right on top.
The football icon has revealed his top ten hotspots to help promote VisitBritain's 'Best of Britain' app, which was launched earlier this year in time for the Olympics.
The 37-year-old - who is an Olympic ambassador - has included locations he loves going to with wife Victoria and their four children, Brooklyn, 13, Romeo, nine, Cruz, seven, and 11-month-old Harper in the list.
Beckham - who attended the high profile wedding of Prince William and Duchess Catherine with Victoria in April 2011 - said: "Buckingham Palace is in the heart of London and it's been the scene of so many great moments in British history - none of us will ever forget the amazing wedding last year.
"Best of all, it's open for visitors during the summer so you can have a look around the state apartments."
Beckham also recommends indulging in traditional East London food at Tony Lane's Pie & Mash shop, a favourite with the footballer and a place which he always visits when he returns to England from Los Angeles where he plays for LA Galaxy.
St. Andrews, the venue for the British Open, also makes Beckham's list for a round of golf. Â
