Wolverhampton:
Junior Hoilett scored both goals as Blackburn climbed away from the drop zone with a potentially crucial 2-0 win at relegation rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday.
Hoilett's athletic first-time shot after a long throw by Morten Gamst Pedersen was flicked on gave the visitors the lead just before halftime.
The Canadian-born striker got his second in the 69th minute when he picked up Yakubu's pass and fired in from 25 yards.
Wolves struggled to create chances against a resolute Blackburn defense, which kept its first clean sheet of the season in the Premier League.
The win moved Blackburn up to 16th, three points clear of the relegation zone, while Wolves dropped down a place to 19th.
