Iran's national football team defeated Trinidad and Tobago 2-0 in a FIFA World Cup warm-up match.
In the match held in Sao Paulo in Brazil Sunday, Ehsan Haj-Safi and Reza Ghoochan-nejad scored the goals for Carlos Queiroz's team, reports Xinhua.
Haj-Safi gave Iran the lead in first-half stoppage time. Ghoochan-nejad scored the second goal for Iran in the 54th minute four minutes after captain Javad Nekounam could not convert the penalty kick.
Iran were held to a goalless draw by Belarus and a 1-1 draw with Angola in their other World Cup warmup games last month.
Iran has been drawn in Group F along with Nigeria, Argentina and Bosnia and Herzegovina
