Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has said that the English football club may sign players in the January transfer window but refused to divulge the identity of potential targets.
The club is reportedly, interested in former striker Fernando Torres and goalkeeper Peter Cech, both Chelsea players. While Torres is currently plying his trade in Italy, on loan to AC Milan, Cech has been warming the bench at Chelsea after losing his place in the first team to Belgian Thibaut Courtois.
"If there is a possibility that we can strengthen in January we will look at that," Rodgers was quoted as saying by bbc.com Wednesday.
Liverpool have been goal-shy this season after the sale of Uruguayan Luis Suarez to Spanish club Barcelona FC and have also faced goal-keeping problems with regular keeper Simon Mignolet replaced by Brad Jones, whom he praised for being consistent.
"Brad is in the team at the moment and has done well in the games that he has played in," Rodgers added.
"He is consistent right the way through. You need your number two goalkeeper to be loyal and work well when he comes in."
