Italy striker Fabio Borini has arrived in Liverpool for a medical after Roma agreed to transfer him for an undisclosed fee.

Italy striker Fabio Borini has arrived in Liverpool for a medical after Roma agreed to transfer him for an undisclosed fee.

The 21-year-old Borini, who was part of Italy's European Championship runner-up squad, would become the first signing for new Liverpool coach Brendan Rodgers.

Borini played under Rodgers during a loan spell at Swansea in 2011.
