New Delhi:
Chelsea's Didier Drogba had to be taken off the field on a stretcher with an oxygen mask on his face, during his team's match against Norwich City on Saturday.
Drogba appeared to be knocked unconscious in an aerial challenge with John Ruddy and was carried off after more than five minutes of treatment on the pitch. The injury came just after Grant Holt pounced on a mistake by Chelsea goalkeeper Hilario in the 63rd minute to cancel out Jose Bosingwa's early opener.
Nicolas Anelka replaced Drogba as the eventful match, with a stoppage time of 11 minutes, eventually went in favour of Chelsea (3-1). Read full match report here.
