Islamabad:
Pakistan has dropped former captain Younis Khan and recalled wicketkeeper Kamran Akmal for the three-match one-day international series against Australia later this month.
Akmal has not played international cricket since last year's World Cup, and appeared before the Pakistan Cricket Board integrity committee last month.
Khan is apparently being left out after performing poorly with the bat against Sri Lanka in the one-day series last month.
The one-day series against Australia begins on August 28 in the United Arab Emirates, followed by three Twenty20 matches.
