West Indies vs India 1st Test, Day 1 Highlights: Rohit Sharma (30) and Yashasvi Jaiswal (40) remained unbeaten as India ended Day 1 of the first Test against West Indies in Dominica on a high. India were 80 without loss, trailing the hosts by 70 runs at Stumps. Earlier, Ravichandran Ashwin (5/60) and Ravindra Jadeja (3/26) led the way as India bundled out West Indies for 150 runs. Apart from Alick Athanaze -- who departed for 47 runs -- none of the West Indies batters could put up a good fight. West Indies skipper Kraigg Brathwaite won the toss and opted to bat first. (Scorecard)

Openers Kraigg Brathwaite and Tagenarine Chanderpaul started well for the hosts with a 31-run stand but R Ashwin dismissed Chanderpaul, it opened the floodgates. Such was the result that West Indies went four down by Lunch with Shardul Thakur and Ravindra Jadeja claiming a wicket apiece, besides the two from Ashwin.
