South Africa coach Mickey Arthur is disappointed that India has been knocked out of the Twenty20 World Cup as he wanted his side to do what England did and extract revenge from Mahendra Singh Dhoni's men for sending the Proteas packing in the 2007 edition.

Arthur said the Indians had "over-celebrated" when they defeated South Africa in the 2007 Twenty20 World Cup and his men would have got a good opportunity to return the compliment when they play India in an inconsequential Super Eight match on Tuesday.

South Africa have already made it to the semifinals while the other spot from Group E will be decided by the match between England and the West Indies.

"It still does hurt us, to go out in our own country. India beat us and played better than we did. RP Singh bowled fantastically well. It's funny how it's coming back on us against India again," Arthur said.

"Well, now the match has only academic value but given South Africa's resolve, and Dhoni's determination to secure even a consolation win for his team and countrymen, tomorrow's game would be anything but an aimless match by the two sides." Arthur also plans to target Indians with short-pitched deliveries.

"I think India has always battled on a wicket that has bounce on it. That's natural. Perhaps you will see us a little bit shorter. We found that India have battled with that in the past."
