Despite pulling off a sensational win last night, the Indian cricket team is not happy and the reason for that is Pakistan off-spinner Saeed Ajmal's action.
According to the sources, the Indian team feels that Ajmal's action should be investigated.
On Sunday, the 34-year-old spinner took one wicket in the clash against India, that of Sachin Tendulkar.
England had also raised objections to Ajmal's action earlier this year. Ajmal bowls something called the 'Teesra', which he has used successfully so far.
How is Teesra bowled?
The ball is held by an off-spinner in his normal action but instead of twisting the arm at the point of the delivery, the bowler simply does not roll his fingers down the back of the ball. The delivery looks like it will turn a lot but it doesn't turn at all. This is a good way of deceiving the batsman that it will turn.
Although former Pakistan spinner Saqlain Mushtaq had coined the term 'Teesra' for this delivery, it has been mastered by Ajmal, who uses it with perfection.
