Indian physiotherapist John Gloster will quit his job following the triangular series in Australia.

New Delhi:

It's been a season of big retirements and resignations but this one is a slightly more low profile one. Indian physiotherapist John Gloster will quit his job following the triangular series in Australia.

Gloster has reportedly been on a collision course with the Indian cricket board ever since he criticised them in a 14-page report over players breaking down due to poor scheduling of games.

Gloster for his part has been under fire because of the frequent injuries to the fast bowlers, Munaf Patel being a prime example.

He has been with the Indian team since February 2005. The Indian physiotherapist could also be quitting so that new coach Gary Kirsten can pick his own support staff.

BCCI secretary Niranjan Shah said, "Gloster does not want to continue. He has expressed his desire to quit. He has informed the board regarding this."

He also said the board will look for a new physio for the home series against South Africa in March-April. (With PTI inputs)
