London:
According to a report in 'The Daily Telegraph', Patel, who toured India last year with the England one-day team and also found a place in the West Indies bound ODI squad, has drawn the attention of Delhi Daredevils.
Apart from Patel, Essex all-rounder Graham Napier is the other English player whose name features in the auction list and has attracted the interest of Mumbai Indians.
However, the report stated that both Patel, who plays for Nottinghamshire, and Napier would require a no objection certificate from the England and Wales Cricket Board and their respective county teams to play in the tournament, scheduled to be held from April 10 to May 29.
Hampshire captain Dimitri Mascarenhas, who has also been selected in England's ODI squad for the West Indies tour, is the only English player to have played in the IPL, for eventual champions Rajasthan Royals, in its inaugural season last year.
