Ryan Rickelton | 36 | 38 | 7 | 0 | 94.73 |
b Salman Agha
11.1 OUT! TIMBER! Done him with the drift! Salman Agha knocks over the other Proteas opener as well and blows the innings wide open. This is floated up on a nagging length around off, at 86 clicks and this one drifts in with the breeze. Ryan Rickelton makes room to cut but it is a bit too full and takes a bit of an inside edge before smashing into the stumps. Rickelton is unhappy but has to walk back for 36 off 38 deliveries. 73/2

Rassie van der Dussen | 8 | 14 | 1 | 0 | 57.14 |
b Salman Agha
13.1 OUT! BOWLED'EM! A ripper of a delivery from Salman Agha and Pakistan are on a roll at the moment. This is floated up quite full and on off and middle, the first mistake Rassie van der Dussen makes that he goes back to a full ball but then Salman gets that drift again and the ball just swerves away from the right-hander, beating the bat and cannoning into that off stump. Salman gets his third wicket and South Africa need some real stability now. 86/3

Aiden Markram C | 35 | 54 | 1 | 0 | 64.81 |
c Kamran Ghulam b Saim Ayub
31.3 OUT! CAUGHT! Oh, what a disappointment for Aiden Markram but that's a fine catch from Kamran Ghulam. Probably the worst ball Saim Ayub has bowled so far as this is dragged down on leg, Markram rocks back and makes room and goes hard at the pull, only managing to slice it high up and in front of mid-wicket. Ghulam keeps his eyes on the spinning ball and dives to grab it with both hands. The partnership is broken and its the part-timer who has done the job for Pakistan. 161/5
|
|||||
Tristan Stubbs | 1 | 2 | 0 | 0 | 50 |
b Salman Agha
13.4 OUT! TIMBER! This is unbelievable, Salman Agha is looking like a wizard out there! He floats the ball up, not all that full and straight onto middle. Tristan Stubbs thinks this will just slide on and looks to work it off the back foot but this one just drifts away a touch as well. Stubbs ends up playing all over a straight ball and once again, the stumps are disturbed. South Africa 88/4 and in some trouble as Salman already has his career-best figures in ODI cricket. 88/4

Heinrich Klaasen Wk | 86 | 97 | 7 | 2 | 88.65 |
b Shaheen Afridi
44.3 OUT! TIMBER! Heinrich Klaasen walks back to a beauty by Shaheen Afridi! Excellent comeback! Big wicket in the context of the game! Runs in hard from around the wicket angle and pitches the ball full and angling into the middle stump. Heinrich Klaasen looks to play the ball with a straight bat but without any foot movement. The ball nips into the batter after pitching and beats the inside edge of Heinrich Klaasen's bat to crash onto the middle stump. The dangerous Klaasen departs for a well-made 86 but misses the well-deserved hundred in the process!. 218/8

c Shaheen Afridi b Abrar Ahmed
41.4 OUT! CAUGHT! Shaheen Afridi takes the catch and this time Marco Jansen has to walk back! Abrar Ahmed pitches the ball full and outside the off stump. He tries to take down the spinner and goes through with the big hit downtown. the ball hits the bottom of the bat and goes up straight to Shaheen Afridi at long on who takes the catch. Huge relief for Haris Rauf and Pakistan. 211/6

c Saim Ayub b Abrar Ahmed
43.1 OUT! SOFT DISMISSAL! Andile Phehlukwayo walks back to the hut! Abrar Ahmed drops the ball short on the stumps with no pace on it. Andile Phehlukwayo gets back deep in the crease and looks to flick the ball for a single, in the end, only manages to hit the ball straight to Saim Ayub at mid-wicket. Saim Ayub moves a bit to his left and grabs the ball with both hands. 214/7

Kagiso Rabada | 11 | 22 | 1 | 0 | 50 |
run out (Irfan Khan / Mohammad Rizwan)
50 A RUN OUT TO END THE FIRST INNINGS! Haris Rauf digs in a shortish ball over leg and right at the body of the batter. Kagiso Rabada hangs back and looks to take it on but skews it high up and just over the mid-wicket region. The ball falls in between three fielders but the throw from Irfan Khan is a good one at the keeper's end. Mohammad Rizwan whips off the bails and replays show that it was poor running from Rabada who is just short of his crease and it will only be a single. South Africa finish with 239/9 on the board! 239/9
