13:10 (IST): Mumbai skipper Zaheer may be getting slightly restless for a wicket. He brings on Abhishek Nayar - the fourth bowler to be used in the innings - against Haryana. Currently, the hosts lead by 40 runs with nine wickets intact. In a low-scoring match, this can be a crucial platform.

13:00 (IST): Haryana batsmen have so far managed to keep Mumbai bowlers at bay in the second session of play on Day 2. Hosts are 34/1 and 134 vs Mumbai's 136 on a lively pitch.

10:35 (IST): Fans and experts following the proceedings between Haryana and Mumbai cannot seem to stop raving about the track here at Lahli. The pitch has a green tinge and is refreshing to the sights of a seamer. About time, most agree, that pacers have equal bragging rights in matches played in India.

10:25 (IST): Five-wicket haul for Joginder! The medium pacer removes Javed Khan (0) while Zaheer Khan too is made to walk back by Harshal Patel, leaving visitors tottering at 120/9.

9:20 (IST): In a recent interview to the official BCCI website, Sachin stressed the importance of playing Ranji and impressing selectors. Although he said scoring big or claiming wickets in Ranji is no guarantee of a spot in the national side, it can help make a case for a player. "A good performance in Ranji Trophy definitely helps you to be recognised by the selectors but it is not a sure-shot certainty that it is going to get you a berth in the Indian cricket team because you also have to see the composition of the national squad, whether one fits into the selectors' ideas and the captain's ideas." 9:10 (IST): Lahli in Haryana - venue for this match - has had a buzz like never before as the stadium was packed to the brim on Sunday. Their hero - Sachin - was dismissed by Mohit Sharma but fans are hopeful of seeing him bat once again in the second innings.
