South African pacer Shabnim Ismail on Tuesday reversed her international retirement as she was named in the country's 15-player squad for the Women's T20 World Cup 2026 in the UK from June 12 to July 5.

Two-time champions Mumbai Indians (MI), led by Harmanpreet Kaur, have done a remarkable job in the auction to keep most of their title-winning core intact for WPL 2026.

It was the first time that a delivery in women's cricket had been clocked at a speed greater than 130km/h, with Ismail's thunderbolt smashing into the pad of former Australia captain Meg Lanning on the second ball of the third over of the match.
