Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chief Shahryar Khan returned to his country on Wednesday after a series of successful meetings with his Indian counterpart Jagmohan Dalmiya. He reported on the progress in talks over the proposed India-Pakistan series in December. He also told the Pakistani media, "If BCCI gives it to us in writing that they are willing to host Pakistan in India, then we might consider. I have had informal discussions with Jagmohan Dalmiya but nothing on paper, yet." (Shahryar Khan Awaits Indian Government Nod for Bilateral Series)
NDTV had earlier reported that BCCI chief Jagmohan Dalmiya was keen to have the first of the five India-Pakistan series in India and the first Test in Kolkata. According to BCCI sources, the proposal is to have the first Test in Kolkata and the second in Mohali. According to the MOU, this will be a two-Test series. BCCI seems to be keen on having the series in India to keep Ten Sports out. If the Indian government gives a 'go-ahead', then Pakistan's home series may be played in India. For that, the Boards have to work out a revenue-sharing formula. (PCB Invites BCCI to Pakistan)
