New Delhi:
Virendra Sehwag will certainly be a player that Pakistan will be wary of.
He has earned comparisons with Sachin Tendulkar because he plays plenty of shots that are not in the book, a style that even the purists have been won over by.
From 85 one-dayers, he has an average of just under 35 with 6 hundreds, plenty of which have come against New Zealand.
In test matches he is now averaging almost 46 with 5 hundreds of, which 4 have come as an opener. The exception was the 100 he got on test debut in South Africa.
Sehwag and Tendulkar have only had a brief career as a one-day partnership. However, they have already enjoyed plenty of success with a total of seven-century stands.
Just like Tendulkar, Sehwag also doubles up as a more than handy spinner especially in sub continent conditions.
So clearly Pakistan has plenty of worries coming up.
Incidentally this will be Sehwag's last series as a single man. He gets married on April 22 and if marital status and cricket form have had a directly proportional effect in the case of Ricky Ponting and Rahul Dravid, then opposition bowlers sure have a lot to worry about since their maidens will be gone forever.
