Ollie Pope looks to pounce on it and drive it through covers but plays a loose shot away from his body. The outside edge is taken and Tom Latham at second slip takes an excellent catch going down to his right. Pope who looked so comfotable out there is gone and New Zealand have their third wicket.  152/3

27.2 OUT! CAUGHT! What a ripper of a catch from Daryl Mitchell! Neil Wagner goes full and wide now as he sees Joe Root setting up for the reverse sweep. Root pre-meditates and does go for the reverse lap but has to stretch for it a bit. The ball takes the under edge and flies low to the right of the second slip where Daryl Mitchell springs to his right and pouches it with both hands. New Zealand get the double-strike not too long after the break and England are all of a sudden four down with two new batters at the crease.  154/4

54.1 OUT! DRAGGED ON! Neil Wagner gets his man and Harry Brook too falls short of his hundred. Wagner rattled Brook last over with a peach and again digs it in short and keeps the line very close to the off pole. Brook backs away and looks to drag the pull shot but is through his shot a bit early. The ball takes the bottom edge and just goes through his legs and hits the top of the stumps. Brook is disappointed but he played a fine knock.  298/6

Scott Kuggeleijn has his first Test wicket and it's the big wicket of Ben Stokes! Kuggeleijn persists with short stuff and bowls it on middle, Ben Stokes clears his front leg and tries to flat bat this one on the leg side. Gets himself into an awkward position and ends up hitting it straight to mid-wicket. Tom Latham stationed there takes a sharp catch. England have lost their half their side now.  209/5

Banged in short and on middle by Scott Kuggeleijn, Stuart Broad clears his front leg and moves to the leg side. Pulls this one but gets it from the bottom part of the bat and holes out to Devon Conway at deep square leg who makes no mistake. Scott Kuggeleijn gets his second wicket as England lose their 7th wicket.  305/7

Bowls it on a length at the batter, Tom Latham looks to turn this one on the leg side but gets an inside edge onto his pad. The ball lobs off the thigh pad in front of short leg. Ollie Pope there reacts quickly and dives forward to complete the catch. This was a clever field placing by Ben Stokes and he has been rewarded with a wicket.  10/1

11.2 OUT! LBW! A brilliant review from England and they have got the big fish. James Anderson bowls this one a touch fuller and angles it in from around the off stump. Kane Williamson looks to block with a straight bat but ends up getting beaten on the inside edge. The ball goes on to rap hi on the pads and there is a loud appeal. Anderson cannot believe it and Ben Stokes immediately reviews. Nothing on UltraEdge and Ball Tracking comes up with three reds. Williamson departs for a low score and England right on top of proceedings here.  23/2

Jack Leach floats this one full at the stumps, Michael Bracewell gets tempted by the flight and steps out to go down the ground, Does not get the elevation and he hits it straight to Ben Stokes at mid on. 68.2 OUT! TIMBER! A peach of a delivery from Ollie Robinson and the resistance from Scott Kuggeleijn comes to an end! Robinson bowls this fuller on off and angles it in but not quite full to drive. Kuggeleijn is drawn forward and he looks to play the on drive. In the end, Kuggeleijn ends up playing all around a straight ball and the ball goes crashing into the stumps as well. New Zealand are 8 down now. Also, Tim Southee walks out to bat now.  235/8

A low full toss from Ollie Robinson at the stumps, Southee walks across and gets inside the line of the ball before lapping it hard and flat over backward square leg. Unluckily for Southee, Ben Duckett stationed over there is well inside the ropes and does well to pick the ball out of the sun rays as he leaps up and pouches it safely. England are now one wicket away from bundling New Zealand out and they still lead by 78 runs.  247/9

13.4 OUT! CAUGHT BEHIND! A bit of a nothing shot and Zak Crawley has thrown away a good start here. Scott Kuggeleijn just bangs this one on a hard length over the off stump and the ball keeps a shade low. Crawley stays on the back foot and there's no foot movement at all. Crawley plays a lazy pull shot and gets a faint toe-end of the bat. Tom Blundell takes an easy catch behind the sticks and Kuggeleijn strikes in his first over. England now lead by 87 runs.  68/2

9.2 OUT! CAUGHT! New Zealand have their first wicket and Blair Tickner is absolutely elated! Tickner bowls it on a good length, angling it across the left-hander and keeps the line tight on off stump. Ben Duckett stays rooted to his crease and pushes at it with hard hands only to get an outside edge on it. The ball goes straight into the bread basket of Tom Latham at second slip and he holds on with both hands while tumbling over. Tickner gets the better of Duckett for the second time in this game.  52/1

25.5 OUT! CAUGHT BEHIND! Neil Wagner has the last laugh here and seems to have gotten rid of Ollie Pope but the umpires have gone upstairs to check for a fair catch and the soft signal is out. The third umpire checks it a couple of times and is satisfied with the catch. Coming to the delivery, Wagner bangs it in short and over leg stump but it is a bit slower. Pope looks to shuffle a bit and pull it behind square but only manages to get a glove on it. The ball loops up a bit and goes to the right of the keeper. Tom Blundell dives forward to that side and pouches it safely. Wagner is ecstatic and Pope departs on 49.  144/4

18.1 OUT! CAUGHT! That's what Neil Wagner does best! Wagner comes from over the wicket and bangs in a nasty bouncer over middle and leg. The ball shoots off the deck and comes in at an awkward height and Stuart Broad gets all cramped up. Broad hops back and turns his head away as he tries to fend it away. The ball takes the handle of the bat and lobs up around the gully region where Henry Nicholls takes a simple catch. The 'Nighthawk' is gone and New Zealand have an early breakthrough on Day 3.  82/3

41.1 OUT! CAUGHT! Joe Root is gone in the final over before tea! Michael Bracewell bowls this one full and outside off, Joe Root pulls out the reverse sweep but gets a glove on it. The ball takes the glove of Tom Blundell behind the wicket and lobs to Daryl Mitchell at first slip who does the rest. Joe Root is distraught as he was looking so good out in the middle. That will be Tea on Day 3!  237/6

Tossed up nicely, slower and full around off, Jack Leach advances down the track and looks to go down the ground. Gets beaten in the flight and the ball spins past his outside edge. He is in no position to get back in the crease and Tom Blundell behind the wicket does the rest. England end up with a lead of 393 runs.  374/10

8 OUT! BOWLED 'EM! Another one bites the dust for New Zealand and Stuart Broad is on fire out there. Broad keeps coming from around the wicket and angles it in from a bit wider of the crease. The ball is pitched up a bit and nips back in off the deck as well. Tom Latham is a bit on the defensive block and the ball just sneaks between bat and pad, going on to hit the top of off stump. Latham cannot believe it and New Zealand have now lost their top 3. Jubilation for Broad though and rightly so.  19/3

Lands this one on a good length and on off from 'round the wicket, Devon Conway goes for a drive with a straight bat but without any foot movement. Bowls this one on a good length on off stump, Kane Williamson presses forward to defend but does not account for the inward movement.
