The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 is heading towards an interesting finish in the league stage with all teams having played 10 or more games. While two teams Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals (with 16 points each) have put one foot in the playoffs, there is a tight contest going on  the remaining two spots. Chennai Super Kings, SunRisers Hyderabad and Lucknow Super Giants hold the third, fourth and fifth spots with 12 points each. Delhi Capitals are sixth in table with 10 points.Â
Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Punjab Kings and Gujarat Titans hold the seventh, eighth and ninth spots with eight points each. Mumbai Indians are bottom-placed with six points. Â Â
Punjab Kings, one of the four teams which are yet to win the IPL, has had some heartbreaks. Their season was marred by injury to regular captain Shikhar Dhawan, while they lost a few close games too.
A fan on X asked Punjab Kings co-owner Preity Zinta about their season so far. Â
"Obviously, not very happy. We lost four games in the last ball. We lost our captain to injury. Some games was spectacular and some were not up to the mark. We will only do well in the future if we win our home games. Big thank you our fans for always supporting us through thick n thin," Preity Zinta wrote in reply to that post.Â
On a different query, Zinta said that she wanted her team to do better at the stunning Mullanpur Stdium.
"It's a stunning stadium & hopefully we will have more cover for shade next year for the people. Just hope we can figure out the pitch as it's our home ground so we can win more matches there and have home advantage," she wrote on X.
She was also asked to comment on Virat Kohli. To which, she replied: "I love his on field aggression and his will to win ! I also love the way he loves family & Â his dance moves. I used to see a lot of his dance moves when he first came to the IPL."
