Team India's chief physiotherapist Nitin Patel has resigned from his post citing personal reasons. Patel joined the Indian team during its tour to England in 2007 after John Gloster fractured his elbow during a fielding session.
According to a report in ESPNCricinfo, Patel resigned during the recently-concluded Indian Premier League and was part of champions Mumbai Indians' support staff.

He was one of India's key backroom staff and has been one of the longest-serving support staff members of the national team.
Now with Patel also gone, BCCI will have to search for a new head physio as well along with Duncan Fletcher's successor.
