Live Score - Pakistan vs New Zealand updates
Pakistan will be slightly disappointed with their fielding, a few dropped catches, two of Latham which could otherwise have been a different story. The big news is that PAKISTAN WILL BAT AGAIN. Remember, no Ahmed Shehzad for the rest of the match or series. 7 overs left in the day. Can the Kiwis snap a wicket or two? Stay tuned for the reply.
The Kiwis got off to a poor start but Latham and Anderson held things up for some time and later, Watling fought hard. But nothing else in between. The bowling was excellent again, with this time Rahat Ali taking a 4-fer while Babar took 3.
A scorecard not dissimilar to the one we saw from Australia over the two-Test series. A century, coupled with two 40s. That sums up the batting effort.
OUT! Yup. Watling can keep on walking. Hawk Eye confirms that it is indeed stone dead. The arm ball, outside off, Watling gets down for the sweep and is hit right in front. Dead plumb. A 304-run lead for Pakistan in the end.
Watling has been adjudged LBW. He has gone for the review. That looks stone dead.
Full and outside off, Watling lunges to defend but gets an outside edge which is well stopped by slip.
What a ball! Pitched up on middle, Watling stays back to defend but the ball spins and bounces past the outside edge, squaring him up! Dream delivery from Babar. Watling will be happy not to have edged that.
TRENT BOULT is the last man in. Can he hang around at least for the day? Watling has a long chat with him. 10 overs still left in the day.
OUT! Chops it on! Leggie gets leggie! This one was more of a slider, pitched on off, coming in, Sodhi looked to play this through the off side but was beaten by the ball coming in. The cherry took the inside edge and hit the leg stump. A disappointed Sodhi walks back, but he played a good knock in a useful stand. New Zealand need 105 more to avoid the follow-on.
A little bit of flight on this one, Sodhi went back when perhaps he may have been forward, looks to defend but inside edges it onto his boot.
Beautifully floated on middle, but not much flight, Ish comes forward to defend, gets a bat-pad but there is no silly point.

FOUR! Tell you what, Sodhi is batting beautifully. In Bengali, 'Ish' usually describes the shyness of expression but there is no shyness in the way this Ish is playing. A touch short outside off, punched through the covers for a single.
Flighted outside off, left alone.
"Looking at this deck, I wouldn't be looking to enforce the follow-on", says Danny Morrison on air. His point is regarding the fact that there are three Test matches in this series and Pakistan have a long calendar till the end of the 2015 World Cup. They need to take care of their bowlers. Hmmm...

FOUR! Third time lucky for Sodhi. This was well tossed up outside off, Sodhi got underneath it and swung with all his might over mid on. A bounce and into the fence went the ball. That takes this stand into the 30s now with the follow-on target going below 120. 250 UP FOR NEW ZEALAND!
