Kashmir Premier League to be held in June
Fourteen teams will take part in the second edition of the Kashmir Premier League (KPL), which is scheduled to kick off in the valley from the first week of June.

Fourteen teams will take part in the second edition of the Kashmir Premier League (KPL), which is scheduled to kick off in the valley from the first week of June.
A curtain-raiser was held on Monday at the Army's Badamibagh cantonment here in the city.
The event was attended by Jammu and Kashmir Sports Minister R S Chib, General Officer Commanding of Srinagar based 15 Corps, Lt Gen S A Hasnain, and several cricketers who were part of the inaugural edition.
KPL has been included as a permanent fixture in the calender of Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association.
The qualifying phase of the tournament is already underway to select the 14 teams that will compete for the title.
The winner of the tournament will get Rs five lakh while the runner-up will get Rs three lakh. The third place team will bag Rs two lakh.
