When a fast bowler starts a day in a Test match by hurling in six consecutive maiden overs, the opposition knows that he has hit the correct rhythm and could cause some serious damage.

For forty one deliveries, the Australian batsmen could not get the West Indian pacer off-the-square and he ended the day with figures of six for 47. This was his fourth five-wicket haul in Tests - one each vs Australia, England, India and Pakistan. The Day 2 spell from Taylor is his career-best in Tests, eclipsing the five for 11 he took against England at the same venue in February, 2009.
During his monster spell, the Jamaican became the first West Indian bowler to take six wickets in an innings against Australia at Sabina Park going past the five for 51 by Malcolm Marshall in April 1984. The 30-year-old has a special liking for his home ground because three of his five-wicket hauls in Tests in the West Indies have been recorded at Sabina Park.
Taylor also joined the legendary Wes Hall and Corey Collymore to become the third bowler to produce three instances of five wickets in an innings at Sabina Park in Kingston.
