Resuming at their overnight score of 188/3 with a lead of 59 runs, Bangladesh A folded up at 309 as left-arm spinner Jagadeesha Suchith sliced through the middle and lower order for a haul of six wickets.
It left Karnataka a target of 181 which they achieved despite a few hiccups, including the early loss of Ravikumar Samarth (1) and Robin Uthappa (3).
But C.M. Gautam (49, 35b, 10x4), Abhishek Reddy (36) and Shreyas Gopal (40 not out) ensured that the hosts survived to cross the finish line.
Earlier, the visitors put up a brave fight with some useful contributions from middle-order batsmen Soumya Sarkar (43), Nasir Hossain (44) and Shuvagata Hom (50 not out, 74b, 7x4, 1x6). But Suchith struck at crucial moments to dash the visitors' hopes.
Brief scores:
Bangladesh A 158 and 309 all out in 76 overs (Anamul Haque 89, Liton Das 38, Soumya Sarkar 43, Nasir Hossain 44, Shuvagata Hom 50 not out, Jagadeesha Suchith 6/60, Udith Patel 2/78) lost to Karnataka 287 and 185/6 in 40.5 overs (CM Gautam 49, Abhishek Reddy 36, Shreyas Gopal 40 not out, Al-Ameen Hossain 2/23, Saqlain Sajib 2/55) by four wickets
