William Porterfield C | 17 | 28 | 1 | 1 | 60.71 |
c Ben Foakes b Liam Plunkett
12.5 OUT! There is a clear deviation and the ball has indeed gone off the glove. Porterfield could have walked earlier perhaps but he was taking a chance against England not reviewing. A length ball on the leg stump line, Porterfield looks to pull it away but ends up gloving it to Foakes who collects and then appeals loudly. The umpire though is unmoved. England review and the replays immediately suggest the ball went off the glove. Two wickets in quick succession for England, they are coming back into the game strongly. Ireland need to rebuild now. 60/2

Paul Stirling | 33 | 44 | 5 | 0 | 75 |
c Jofra Archer b Tom Curran
11.4 OUT! It is clean as a whistle. Curran strikes! The promising opening stand has been cut short! Not sure if that shot was needed but that is how Stirling plays. He lives by the sword and dies by it. He dances down the track and Curran bowls it on a length. Stirling looks to go over mid on but does not time it. He ends up hitting it low towards Archer who takes it with a dive forward. Stirling though is not sure whether it has carried and holds his ground. The umpires take it upstairs to check whether it has. Replays roll in and show it has. Stirling walks back after getting off to a start. Can England now build on this? 55/1

Andy Balbirnie | 29 | 44 | 1 | 1 | 65.90 |
st Ben Foakes b Joe Denly
24.2 OUT! Foakes, you beauty! He has removed the bails when the batsman has lifted his foot slightly. A wide ball down the leg side, Balbirnie looks to sweep it away but misses the ball. His back foot is inside the crease but Andy lifts it slightly and Ben behind the stumps who has the presence of mind, removes the bails at the same exact moment. That is why he was so confident. He appeals and the leg umpire takes it to the third umpire. The replays roll in and show us that the keeper has pulled off a brilliant wicket due to his glovework and smartness here. The set batsman departs and despite bowling a wide, Denly will be happy as he has got a wicket! Two new batsmen who have not faced a ball out in the middle now for Ireland and will look to take them to safer shores. 111/6
Lorcan Tucker | 7 | 5 | 1 | 0 | 140 |
c Eoin Morgan b Liam Plunkett
14.5 OUT! That is catching practice! A length ball outside off, Tucker looks to drive on the up. The ball holds up in the wicket as it is a bit sticky. It carries easily to Morgan to cover. He is not going to drop those. Tucker is the one to depart when it was looking all along like Balbirnie was not finding things easy. Such is the game, the ODI debut innings lasts 5 balls for Tucker. 70/3
Kevin O'Brien | 4 | 2 | 1 | 0 | 200 |
c Joe Denly b Tom Curran
15.5 OUT! What a catch! Joe Denly at point. The hosts are losing their way here. A huge wicket and Ireland have slipped from 55/0 to 77/4! Curran bowls this slightly outside off and draws the push drive from Kevin O'Brien. The ball flies off the outside half and towards the left of point where Denly dives full length and holds onto the catch. Excellent fielding this. 77/4
Gary Wilson Wk | 8 | 20 | 0 | 0 | 40 |
c Joe Root b Adil Rashid
23.3 OUT! EDGED AND TAKEN! Rashid strikes and Ireland have lost half their side now. Wilson falls into the trap there. Rashid was continuously tossing this one up outside off, wanting to Wilson to go after it. Rashid does that again here. This time it is just behind a driving length and hence giving the ball a little more time to spin. Wilson leans into it and then tries to push it but the little turn induces the outside edge and goes into the hands of Joe Root at first slip. Ireland slip further as another budding stand comes to an end. 110/5
George Dockrell | 24 | 42 | 1 | 0 | 57.14 |
c Eoin Morgan b Liam Plunkett
40.2 OUT! FOURTH ONE FOR PLUNKETT! A length ball wide outside off from him, a nothing ball really. Dockrell looks to hit it away over cover but fails to get elevation. The ball carries to cover where Eoin Morgan takes a regulation catch. Nine down now Ireland and in danger of not playing their entire quota of overs. And again, there are two batsmen in the middle who have not faced a single ball. 183/9
Mark Adair | 32 | 30 | 2 | 2 | 106.66 |
b Jofra Archer
32.2 OUT! The off stump is sent cartwheeling. Maiden ODI wicket for Archer and there could have been no better sight for him. A yorker right at the base of off stump, Adair misses the ball as he fails to bring his bat down in time and that means only one thing. The stump loses its position. Bowled 'em! 46-run stand comes to an end. Adair walks out after playing a decent innings on debut. 157/7
Tim Murtagh | 12 | 27 | 0 | 0 | 44.44 |
c Ben Foakes b Liam Plunkett
40.1 OUT! Plunkett gets his third wicket! Murtagh falls now. A bouncer on middle, Tim looks to hook it away but only manages a top edge. The ball goes straight up in the air. Foakes runs behind a bit and takes a really good catch. These swirlers are not easy but the big gloves help. 2 more needed for England now to finish off this innings. 183/8
Joshua Little | 9 | 6 | 2 | 0 | 150 |
b Tom Curran
43.1 OUT! Chopped on! IRELAND ARE BOWLED OUT FOR 198! They do not even bat their entire quota of 45 overs. Curran ends with three wickets. A slower one on middle, Little looks to cut but only manages to get it off the under edge and knock back his middle stump. The away side all come up and celebrate. England will be mighty pleased with this after the hosts were 55/0 at one stage. 198/10

c George Dockrell b Joshua Little
7.4 OUT! That is a blinder from George Dockrell! What a catch to give Joshua Little his MAIDEN ODI WICKET. Little bowls a short of a length delivery on middle, Vince hammers it towards mid-wicket. he must have felt, there is another boundary for the taking but Dockrell had other ideas. He dives to his left and takes a stunner. Ireland have done really well till now, they haven't given away a lot and now have managed to pick up a wicket too. They need to keep doing this as wickets is what will win them the game. 34/1

Dawid Malan | 24 | 30 | 3 | 0 | 80 |
c Gary Wilson b Joshua Little
13.1 OUT! Another one bites the dust! Joshua Little is all over England here. He has his third. Malan, the set batsman, is making his way back. England now in big trouble here. Little bowls it slightly short and outside off, not a lot of width on offer. Malan goes for the cut but the short was not on as the ball was too close to play that. The ball flies off the outside edge to the left of Wilson who dives, sticks one hand out and the ball stays in. Excellent catch. 62/4
Joe Root | 7 | 6 | 1 | 0 | 116.66 |
lbw b Tim Murtagh
8.5 OUT! England are two down in no time. Murtagh's ploy of bowling the stump-to-stump line and works for him. Excellent stuff from him. This is on a good length around off, it tails back in. Root looks to defend but gets hit on the pads as he ends up playing outside the line. Murtagh appeals and the umpire raises his finger. Joe Root thinks of the review but decides against it after consulting with his partner. Hawk Eye shows that it is as plumb as it gets. Game on here! 41/2
Eoin Morgan C | 3 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
c Gary Wilson b Joshua Little
10 OUT! There goes another one! The English skipper is making the long walk back! A nasty, nasty delivery this. Little bends his back and bangs it short. It is a well-directed one. Morgan may not have been expecting it. He looks to fend it away by taking his eyes off the ball. It hits the gloves and lobs to the keeper who takes it and appeals. The umpire raises the finger. The debutant is making a name for himself here. England in a spot of bother. Another 153 needed with 7 wickets in hand. 46/3
Joe Denly | 8 | 17 | 1 | 0 | 47.05 |
c Kevin O'Brien b Boyd Rankin
14.1 OUT! TAKEN! Another rippa of a catch! Half the side back in the hut. Ireland on top now. Denly could feel a little hard done here. He has hit that right off the middle. It is short and on middle, Denly transfers his weight onto the back foot and then nails the pull. It goes quickly to mid-wicket where Kevin O'Brien reacts well and takes it head height. Ireland are pumped up. They can sense a victory here. They are into the bowling all-rounders. 66/5

David Willey | 20 | 38 | 3 | 0 | 52.63 |
c Mark Adair b Joshua Little
27 OUT! Caught at fine leg! Little has 4! Willey departs! A nothing ball on the pads, Willey gets excited at seeing a boundary-scoring opportunity. He flicks it uppishly but unfortunately for him, the ball flies to deep fine leg. Adair there makes no mistake. That brings to an end the 35-run stand. Ireland are 4 wickets away from a shock here while England need 98 still. 101/6
