IPL Governing Council Proposes Two New Teams for Replacing Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals
The IPL Governing Council has put forward a couple of proposals with respect to getting two new teams for two years in the tournament.

The IPL Governing Council has put forward a proposal to have two new teams for just two years during their meeting in Kolkata on Thursday. This comes in the wake of Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals getting suspended from the Indian Premier League for two years by the Justice RM Lodha Committee. Chennai Super Kings had challenged their suspension in a petition filed in the Madras High Court but the court has ordered the BCCI to file a counter. (Chennai Super Kings Petition to Stay IPL Suspension Rejected by Madras High Court)
The other proposal floated by the IPL governing council is to have two new teams now and make the league a 10-team tournament after two years.
