Zak Crawley does not hold back and looks to heave another one but this time only manages to get a top edge flying behind point. The England players think it has come off the pad and they appeal for LBW, which is turned down by the umpire. A yes-no situation for the single and Foakes is a bit late to get off the blocks. It is still an easy run but Ben Stokes is very casual in his approach and jogs most part of that run. He realises that the throw is coming at his end but the horse has bolted already. Shreyas Iyer swoops in and picks the ball up with hi right hand. He fires in a throw at the batting end and hits despite having only one stump to aim at. The replays show that Stokes had no part of his bat inside the crease when the throw hits the stumps.
