On the Australian tour
As far as I am concerned it has been mission accomplished. Very satisfying to have done it and also that everyone contributed.
On his on-field tiffs with Matthew Hayden
It was a little bit of a love affair between Hayden and me. He has go at me when we are batting and I have a go at him when we are fielding.
On the Australian media
I have noticed something about the Australian media. When we win they always find something to criticise us. Even after the first final when we won they were talking about Harbhajan's antics as they call it. They show loyalty to their country, which I feel we can learn from. The future of Indian cricket team is very bright.
On playing with the youngsters in the side
One thing is that we have played a lot of cricket from the Under-19 days together. We have literally grown up together we complement each others game so that is a very important reason for our success.
On opening the batting and playing the middle
Personally I love opening the batting. But whatever the team requires of me I'm happy to do. I have come to such a stage in life where I think I know I can bat at 7 or 5 or open. I have Yuvraj or Sachin talking to me all the time. I'm quite open to batting anywhere right now. If we are batting down the order, Sachin just tells me to delay whatever I want to do. Also when a man has played more than 400 ODIs you literally take him for his word. Sachin said if we bat 20 overs we will reach about 100 and when I got out we were 94.
On his favourite moments of the tour
My best moment was Gautam Gambhir scoring two hundreds in Australia because he worked really hard and because he had been in and out of the side. My second favourite moment would be when Symonds knocked out the streaker (in Brisbane). I was joking maybe that he likes the streaker.
