Thousands of fans had a feast as the right-handed batter played an entertaining knock of 155 runs off 94 balls. His innings was laced with 18 fours and nine sixes. This knock from the Hitman came while chasing as Mumbai hunted down a target of 237 quite easily. They won the game with eight wickets in hand and 117 balls to spare.
Around half an hour into the first innings of the match, the fans targeted Gautam Gambhir after spotting Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) selector RP Singh.
"Gambhir kidhar hai, dekh raha hai na (Gautam Gambhir, where are you, are you watching, right)?" the fans chanted, as reported by PTI.

Once the crowd came to know that Mumbai were fielding, a few thousand left with a prayer on their lips that Sikkim would show enough batting firepower to allow them to watch their hero bat to their heart's content.
Ashish Thapa scored 79 as Sikkim could post a paltry 236 for 7 in the allotted 50 overs. The chase was nothing but a cakewalk as Rohit's big knock guided Mumbai to an easy win.
