There is a big shout for LBW, and the umpire thinks for a while before raising his finger. Shakeel has a chat with his partner, but when he signals for the review, the timer has already run out. 44 OUT! CAUGHT BEHIND! What happened here? A big deflection off the bat, but there's not that big of an appeal, and the umpire's finger goes up. The keeper, Mohammad Rizwan, nearly pulls out of the appeal, and there is some confusion. Jordan Cox reviews. UltraEdge shows a clear spike, and not sure why Cox reviewed it. Maybe he got caught up in the confusion as well, or maybe he felt it went off the flap of the pad. Coming to the delivery, this is bowled flatter by Ali Usman, fuller and outside off. Cox strides across and looks to push it into the off side but gets an outside edge. A lovely bit of bowling from Khurram Shahzad as he bowls it a bit fuller and gets the ball to dart back in sharply. Root walks towards the ball and gets inside the line to flick. He falls over a bit and misses, getting hit on the pads, right in front of the stumps. The third umpire confirms with the help of Ball Tracking that the ball is hitting the middle of middle. Just after being taken for a boundary earlier in the over, Root had a quick word with Jofra Archer and promptly stationed himself at leg gully. The trap was set - attack Azan Awais' pads with either a full ball or a rising one and tempt him into the glance. Archer executes it to perfection, angling in a full ball around middle and leg. Azan leans across and goes for the glance, seemingly unaware of the danger lurking at leg gully. The shot goes aerially off the inside half of the bat and straight into the bread basket of Root. A beautifully planned wicket, brilliantly executed. Azan avoided the pair but can add only 9 runs. Both the Pakistan openers depart cheaply.  13/2

21 OUT! CAUGHT! Josh Tongue strikes in his first over. Once again, credit must go to Joe Root for putting a fielder in the right place. This is a fuller delivery, angling down the leg side. Not a wicket-taking delivery at all. Saud Shakeel, who has been trying to play his shots from the start of the session, tries to flick it off the pads. He connects more from the inside half of the bat. It flies to the right of short fine leg, who is standing a lot squarer than usual. Dan Lawrence puts in a dive to his right and takes a superb catch.
