New Delhi:
The Enforcement Directorate on Friday issued a showcause notice to Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and former IPL commissioner Lalit Modi.
The BCCI had remitted Rs 90 crore in forex to IMG, UK without Reserve Bank of India's (RBI) permission.
The agency had begun investigations into the issue last year and had summoned Modi and franchise officials more than once for interrogation.
ED had also summoned former cricketer Ravi Shastri for questioning on Thursday, as he had been part of the IPL governing council in the first three editions.
Shastri, who had been called to the directorate's offices in Mumbai next week, is however currently out of the country, working as a commentator in the India-England series.
