CLT20 TV ratings jump by 44 per cent
The first three matches of second edition of Airtel Champions League Twenty20 have seen a sharp increase in television viewership.

TV ratings of the first three matches have seen an increase of 44 per cent according to TAM ratings. The three matches generated an average rating of 2.6 TVR this year as compared to 1.8 TVR last year.
The first three matches of the tournament have generated a reach of 36.6 million people which is 22 per cent higher as compared to last year, a release said.
The inaugural match between Mumbai Indians and Highveld Lions garnered a peak rating of 4.93 TVR. Overall, the match returned an impressive 3.92 TVR as compared to 2.7 TVR which the first match of 2009 edition generated.
The championship is being broadcast on STAR Cricket, the 24 hour Cricket channel from ESPN STAR Sports.
ESPN STAR Sports' spokesperson, said, "We are delighted with the viewer response to Airtel Champions league 2010 so far. With matches getting more and more exciting, we expect that the traction on ground will build up even further. We have also decided to air the remaining IPL team matches on STAR Sports to give viewers an additional platform to consume such high quality cricketing content."
