CAB selects Ashok Dinda as 'Cricketer of the Year'
The CAB on Monday adjudged pacer Ashok Dinda as the 'Cricketer of the Year' while the lifetime achievement award would be conferred on Prakash Poddar.

The Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) on Monday adjudged pacer Ashok Dinda as the 'Cricketer of the Year' while the lifetime achievement award would be conferred on former batsman Prakash Poddar.
Former Bengal batsman Poddar has played 39 matches between 1960-1977, scoring 2095 runs at 44.57 with seven centuries.
In his first class career, Poddar scored 3868 runs including 11 centuries in 74 matches.
The CAB has also decided to give pacer Jhulan Goswami the award of Senior Woman Cricketer while Sudip Chatterjee has been named best U-19 cricketer of the 2009-10 season.
The annual award ceremony will take place on July 24, while the CAB annual general meeting will be held on July 28. The List:

U-16: Avishek Raman; U-14: Sayan Mondal; Junior: Somen Chakraborty (Videocon School Cricketer); Sub-Junior: Puranchand Singh Yadav (Howrah Sammilani); School: Sheikh Mustafa (Shantipur Hindi High School); University: Angel Nandy (Ravindra Bharati University).
