London:

England say they have added Tim Bresnan to the squad for the one-day series against Sri Lanka after the all-rounder was passed fit following calf problems.

Bresnan is available for the first one-day international on Tuesday at The Oval after injury kept him out of the three-match test series and Saturday's Twenty20 game.

Bresnan's calf problem dates back to the Ashes tour of Australia. He returned to England in January after experiencing discomfort in his right leg.

Although he returned for the World Cup, he was again troubled by the injury in the subcontinent.
