Afghanistan Break Into the Top 10 ICC ODI Teams
Afghanistan's 49-run win over Zimbabwe on December 24 pushed them to 10th place in the ICC ODI team rankings.

For the first time ever, Afghanistan have made it among the top ten ODI teams according to the ICC rankings.
Their win over Zimbabwe in the first ODI on December 24 helped them jump up two places.
Afghanistan have improved has a team over the past year. They impressed after qualifying for the 2015 ICC World Cup final. In October they had won the ODI series in Zimbabwe 3-2.
The first position is occupied by Australia with 127 points, followed by India with 114 points. India face Australia in a five-match series in January. A win for the Men in Blue would reduce the gap between the two.
