"Tendulkar had pointed out that stadiums are not fully occupied during test matches, so school children can come here and watch these matches free of cost. In this way, they will acquire more interest in the game," UPCA Director Jyoti Vajpayee said on Sunday.
UPCA will also provide snacks to these children from Muslim orphanage and Hindu orphanage, apart from providing pick and drop facility to them for the Test match starting on November 24 at Green Park stadium here.
After discussions with the officials of the two orphanages, it was decided that 50 children from Muslim orphanage will watch the Test match on the first day and 50 children from Hindu orphanage will come to watch on the second day, Vajpayee said.
In case more children from the orphanages would like to watch the match, the UPCA will consider the matter sympathetically, Vajpayee said.
