Saina wins Philippines Open

India's Saina Nehwal has won the Philippines Open Badminton Championship in Manila.

India's Saina Nehwal has won the Philippines Open Badminton Championship in Manila. The Hyderbadi teenager defeated Malaysia's Julia Xian Pei Wong 21-15 22-20 to win the women's singles title. With this win, sixteen-year-old Saina, who is ranked 86th in the world, becomes the first Indian woman to win a four-star badminton event.
