Fifteen-year-old badminton player Saina Nehwal has been signed up by the Mittal Champions Trust, the sports trust started by steel tycoon Lakshmi Mittal.

Fifteen-year-old badminton player Saina Nehwal has been signed up by the Mittal Champions Trust, the sports trust started by steel tycoon Lakshmi Mittal. The other sportsperson on their roster is squash champ Joshna Chinappa. Saina currently trains with Former All-England Champion Pulela Gopichand in Hyderabad and she already has a string of junior titles and big wins against senior players. The Mittal Champions Trust was set up in November this year to identify, support and enhance the performance of young Indian sportspersons and will invest Rs 40 crore in the next few years.
