Parupalli Kashyap Rises to World No.12
A win in the Syed Modi International Badminton Championships has boosted Parupalli Kashyap.

Boosted by the title win at the Syed Modi International Badminton Championships on Sunday, Parupalli Kashyap rose three places to be ranked No.12 in the latest Badminton World Federation (BWF) rankings released on Thursday. (Also read: Critics had written me off, says Kashyap)
Two other Indians are in the top-25 of men's singles with Kidambi Srikanth at No.5 and H.S. Prannoy at No.18. Both retained their positions.
Meanwhile, Saina who won the women's singles title at the same tournament by beating World Champion Carolina Marin Sunday, stayed at No.3 but recent winner of Padma Shri P.V. Sindhu dropped a place to be ranked No.10.
Jwala Gutta and Ashwini Ponnappa are India's only representation in the women's doubles top-25 at No.22 while there are no Indians in the top-25 of the men's and mixed doubles.
