Parupalli Kashyap enters semis of Indonesia Open

India's Parupalli Kashyap continued his good run in the Indonesia Open Super Series Premier badminton event, defeating higher-ranked Hans-Kristian Vittinghus of Denmark in the men's singles quarterfinals here on Friday.
Kashyap wrapped up the match in 39 minutes, winning 21-15, 21-14 to enter the last four of the prestigious event. The World No. 26 now meets local hope Simon Santoso, who beat countryman Dionysius Hayom Rumbaka 21-17, 21-7.
Kashyap had shocked top seed Chen Long of China in the second round on Thursday.
India's top player Saina Nehwal takes on China's Shixian Wang in the women's singles quarterfinals later on Friday.
