As Saina Nehwal became the first Indian woman to attain the world number one ranking, congratulatory messages poured in from all quarters. Former cricketers Brian Lara and Anil Kumble greeted the Indian shuttler on creating history on Saturday.
Lara, one of the greatest batsmen in the modern day game, said it was a great achievement for Saina while Kumble said he was proud of the 25-year-old from Hyderabad. These wishes must mean a lot to her for while one man holds the highest score in Test cricket, the other is only of only two to have taken 10 wickets in a Test match.
