Michael Clarke was in sublime touch the last time India toured Australia. While he may be plagued by injuries, there is no doubt that if he finds form, the Indian bowlers will have a tough task removing him from the crease.
David Warner's form over the last one year has been excellent. With an appetite for big scores, Warner can wreak havoc on any bowling attack. Australia will be banking on him tyo provide the good starts at the top of the order.
Shane Watson is Australia's main candidate at number three. While he may not have been a regular member of the Test team off late, the Indians will be wary of this swashbuckling right-hander.
Chris Rogers provides stability in a batting line-up of strokemakers. He could be a handful to dislodge if he gets his eye in.
Steven Smith is known to offer resistance at the latter part of the innings. He usually comes to the rescue when the chips are down so the Indians would do well to formulate a plan to get rid of him quickly.
