Bengal hurdler creates national record
Anil Soren ran the 110 m hurdles in a record 14.12 seconds, shaving 0.26 seconds off an eight year old record.

The 17-year old achieved the feat in the boys under-18 section of 110m hurdles by clocking 14.12s, shattering the previous best of 14.38s established by Kerala's Akhil Krishanan at Vijayawada Junior National in 2000.
Soren was followed by Saba Bhagat of Maharashtra (West Zone), who recorded 14.17 secs, and Gurinder Singh of Punjab (North Zone) recording 14.34 secs respectively for the second and third place.
