There is a new addition to the long list of celebrities, historic figures and royalty at the London's Madame Tussauds Wax Museum. Three-time Olympic gold medalist and 100m as well as 200 m world record holder Usain Bolt is now a proud member here.
A wax statue of the Jamaican sprinter was unveiled on Monday, days before the start of the London Olympics in which Bolt is expected to set pulses racing with his speed and agility on the track. "Usain Bolt is one of the most celebrated athletes of this current time and he has got five World Championships and three Olympic medals under his belt. So we're delighted to honour him, to have him now in the attraction," said Meike Schulze, General Manager at Madame Tussauds London. He also added that there were several requests from guests to have Bolt included here.

Posing in his trademark pose in which Bolt has been clicked on several occasions, the wax statue is seen aiming for the stars while fans all around him could not get enough pictures taken with him. "It is a very obvious pose, I have to say, and it's such an interactive pose as well. It's a very unique pose so our visitors will absolutely love it and actually will very much enjoy posing beside him in exactly the same pose," said Schulze.
A contingent of Jamaican fans were also present with the national flag although their star, in wax, had arrived at the Heathrow earlier this month.
