India's Sania Mirza and her Czech partner Barbora Strycova missed out on their third title together after going down 1-6, 3-6 to Bethanie Mattek-Sands and Lucie Safarova in the women's doubles final at the Wuhan Open.
The third seeds were looking for their third title together after winning the Cincinnati Open and Pan Pacific Open titles.
However, the Indo-Czech were outclassed by the American-Czech pair in an one-sided final that lasted just over an hour.
Sania-Strycova converted just two of the eight break points on offer while their opponents converted six out of eight.
The third seeds won just 14 points out of 32 on their first serves which proved to be their downfall.
Sania and Strycova had defeated Chinese Taipei duo Hao-Ching Chan/Yung-Jan Chan 6-4, 3-6, 10-7 to enter the women's doubles title clash.
