In a touching letter to Rafael Nadal, former Grand Slam tennis champion Andre Agassi has admired the Spaniard's 'remarkable' record in the French Open.
Eight-time Grand Slam champion Agassi won the French Open in 1999 when he beat Ukraine's Andrei Medvedev. The American came from two sets down to clinch a five-set thriller. Nadal has won the French Open nine times, furiously eyeing another this year.
In an extraordinary act of admiration, Agassi has hand-written his tribute to Nadal, whose 70-2 record at Roland Garros is a testimony of the 29-year-old's skill and strength on red clay.
"It took me most of my career to accomplish the herculean task of winning the French Open one time," Agassi wrote.

"Watching you attempt to win it for the tenth time is not only remarkable ... it is inspiring.
"You make me believe in life that anything is achievable and nothing is impossible.
"Go get 'em."
Nadal hardly got his shoes dusty at the French Open this week. The Spaniard began his tilt at a 10th Roland Garros title with a 6-1, 6-1, 6-1 victory against big-serving Australian Sam Groth.
