Leander Paes and Czech Radek Stepanek were beaten 3-6, 7-6, 4-10 by the unseeded Swiss duo of Roger Federer and Stanislas Wawrinka in the quarter-finals.

The fourth seeded pair of India's Leander Paes and Czech Radek Stepanek was beaten by the unseeded Swiss duo of Roger Federer and Stanislas Wawrinka in the quarter-finals of the men's doubles at the BNP Paribas Open tennis tournament here. (Also read: Federer eases into singles quarters)
In an encounter that lasted 79 minutes, Paes and Stepanek went down 3-6, 7-6 (6) and 4-10 against the Swiss combine here Wednesday night. (Related: Sania-Cara advance to semis)
In the semi-finals, Federer and Wawrinka will face Alexander Peya and Bruno Soares. The other semi-final will be an all-American clash between the Bryan brothers and John Isner and Sam Querrey.
