Tennis star Sania Mirza arrived late and the gates of Taj Mahal were already closed for the day.

Tennis star Sania Mirza was disappointed as she arrived late and could not see the Taj Mahal in Agra. (Also Read: Playing Asian Games Was a Correct Decision, Says Sania)

While former cricketer Anil Kumble visited the Taj Mahal on Tuesday evening, Sania Mirza arrived late and failed to get an entry to the 17th century monument.

When she arrived, the gates were already closed for the day, said tourist guide Ved Gautam. (Sania Mirza to be Showstopper at Delhi Fashion Week)

They both had come to Agra to take part in a function organised at Jaypee Palace hotel. Sania had recently won a mixed doubles gold with Saketh Myneni in the mixed doubles event of the Asian Games in Incheon.
